COVID Winter Hibernation: Get inspired to fight winter blues, government quarantine and social restrictions.
Winter’s here and we’re still trapped indoors abiding by government quarantine procedures, social restrictions, curfews and sporadic city-wide lockdowns. The social norms we’re all accustom to have been replaced with anti-social norms.
So, it’s inevitable for these changes in society to effect the fashion world, which is now scrambling to figure out the future of fashion and the direction of style trends.
Since society is forced to stay indoors, which means: no red carpet event, no concerts, no parties, no exhibitions, no satellite launches, no dinner parties and no date nights – so who really cares about fashion? Life has become a series of endless Netflix nights and zoom hangouts.
Does anyone really have time to follow fashion trends? Were there really any notable fashion trends of 2020?
Collectively, I think we’ve all been so consumed with the pandemic, global quarantines, the US election and the BLM movement to notice what the hell is happening in fashion.
So since there’s no real trends in fashion at the moment, feel free to be the most expressive, brave and rebellious version of yourself – while this global uncertainty lasts.
Just do you Boo, remain optimistic, promote positivity and of course remember: don’t hate, appreciate!
