Our Prestige Artists team regularly scours the world to find and highlight luxurious and relaxing lifestyle destinations in the US & Europe. During our stay in Edinburgh we had the opportunity to visit the Rocco Forte Balmoral Hotel for brunch and the experience was one to remember – hence we want to share it with you!

The Balmoral Hotel is perfectly perched in the heart of Edinburgh adorned with the coveted address of 1 Princes Street. It is conveniently adjacent to the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station.
The Balmoral Hotels perfect address on the world famous Princes Street is unmistakable. The imposing building is a historical asset to the city of Edinburgh.
Tourist tip: since 1902, the clock on the Balmoral Hotel tower is set to run three minutes fast, so that the people of Edinburgh won’t miss their trains during commutes.
The Balmoral – Brasserie Prince

We drove from Glasgow to Edinburgh, which is only about a 45 minute drive, to have an early afternoon brunch at the Balmoral Hotel; brunch at The Balmoral Hotel is an indulgent and delicious way to spend an afternoon with colleagues and friends in Edinburgh.
The food was exquisite and plentiful! You can opt to select fabulously delicious options from the buffet, or select a dish from the cooked or smoked menu – everything was absolutely delectable!
It was a perfect way to end our stay in Scotland.
The Balmoral – Palm Court

This gorgeous glass-domed upmarket champagne bar is fabulously adorned with palm trees inside of the luxury hotel. The Palm Court also serves afternoon tea if you prefer nonalcoholic beverages.
The Balmoral Hotel lobby is beautifully decorated with Roman columns, a nod to the Italian decent of the Forte family. Upon entering the lobby your senses are greeted and aroused by the lovely aroma of fresh flowers before you arrive at the receptions desk.

The hotel is filled with many wonderful features, superior amenities and a visually stunning decor. I could write so much about the hotel alone, I have gained such an affinity for this marvelous establishment and I’m not alone.
This gorgeous hotel personifies and upholds the meaning of luxury & prestige while attracting affluent travelers from around the world.
The Balmoral Hotel has gained equal admiration and frequent patronage from prestigious guests like Sophia Loren, Paul McCartney and former Prime Ministers of the UK – the Queen Mother was a regular for lunch.

This will not be my last Rocco Forte hotel brand experience! I cannot wait to explore what the other Rocco Forte hotels have to offer.
I’m also just as excited to return to The Balmoral, as there is still so much to see at this hotel. Upon our next visit we plan to explore such features like Michelin star restaurant, the spa and the Scotch whisky bar which features over 500 malts, blends and vintages from every part of Scotland!
